Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using gummidesign.is (the "site") or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About us

Gummi Design is a small, independently run art and craft project based in Iceland, operating at gummidesign.is. You can contact us at any time at gummidesign@gmail.com.

Accounts

You can browse and buy from the site without an account, but some features require one. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use.

Products

Our products are handmade, so slight variations in colour, texture, size and finish are natural and are not defects — each item is unique. We do our best to display products accurately, but colours may appear differently depending on your screen. We may change or discontinue products at any time.

Orders and acceptance

When you place an order you make an offer to purchase the selected items. An order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order; a contract is formed once we accept it. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is unavailable, there is a pricing error, or we cannot verify the order — in which case any payment already made will be refunded.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in Icelandic króna (ISK) and are the total amount you pay. We accept payment by the methods offered at checkout: bank transfer, cash on pickup, or postal arrangement. We do not process online card payments. Your order is prepared once payment has been arranged in accordance with the instructions on your order confirmation. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors before accepting an order.

Delivery and pickup

Delivery and pickup options are shown at checkout. We aim to prepare and dispatch orders promptly, but delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery or collection. Please inspect your order on receipt and contact us promptly about any issues.

Returns and refunds

If a product arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us at gummidesign@gmail.com within 14 days of receipt and we will arrange a replacement or refund. Because our items are handmade, natural variations are not grounds for return. Refunds are issued using the payment method used for the order.

Intellectual property

All content on the site — including product designs, images, text, logos and articles — is owned by Gummi Design or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, accounts or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the site or its security features.
• Copy, scrape or misuse our content in breach of these terms.

Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to receiving occasional emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email or by contacting us. We will still send transactional messages, such as order confirmations, where necessary.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work to keep the site accurate and available, we do not warrant that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under mandatory Icelandic consumer law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gummi Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability in connection with an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal information. Please review it to understand our practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
